About Us

Founded in 1999, Jordan Law Firm, L.L.P. is composed of four attorneys, Raymond W. "Wes" Jordan, son Phillip W. Jordan and his wife Jennifer K. Jordan, and Michael R. Unger, together with our Office Manager, Margaret Jordan, and two legal assistants, Sherri Smith and Shelley Young.

Wes Jordan has been practicing law in Texarkana since 1973. In 1999, as Phillip and then fiancee Jennifer neared graduation from Law School and decided to move to Texarkana to start their careers, Wes founded the Jordan Law Firm in anticipation of their arrival.

In January 2006, Phillip and Jennifer became partners in the Firm, which became known as Jordan Law Firm, L.L.P., a Texas Registered Limited Liability Partnership. As of January 1, 2010, Jennifer retired from the practice of law. In May 2010, Mike Unger joined the firm as an associate attorney,.

Raymond Wesley Jordan , born New Boston, Texas, November 18, 1947; admitted to bar, 1973, Texas; 1974, Arkansas; 1979, U.S. Tax Court and U.S. District Court, Eastern District of Texas; 1981, U.S. Court of Appeals, Fifth Circuit; 1993, U.S. District Court, Eastern and Western Districts of Arkansas.

Education: Texas A&M University (B.A., 1970); University of Texas (J.D., 1973), Phi Delta Phi.

Member: Texarkana, Northeast Texas, Arkansas and American Bar Associations; State Bar of Texas; Texas Association of Bank Counsel; Texas College of Real Estate Attorneys; Fellow, Texas Bar Foundation. Phillip Wesley Jordan , born Texarkana, Texas, March 9, 1975; admitted to bar, 2000, Texas; 2001, Arkansas.

Michael Robert Unger, born Springfield, Illinois, July 4, 1971; admitted to bar 2004 Texas, 2005 Arkansas, 2005 Louisiana; 2004 U.S. District Court for Eastern Districts of Texas, 2005 United States District Court for the Northern District of Texas, and Eastern and Western Districts of Arkansas.

Education: Texas A&M University (BA, 1994, cum laude); Texas Wesleyan University School of Law (J.D. 2004), Mock Trial Team (2003-2004); Moot Court Honor Society (2002-2004), Order of Barristers, Phi Delta Phi.
